Rods & Reels — All rods and reels are provided by us. We use the top of the line Shimano Talora trolling rods paired with Shimano Tekota line counter reels. These trolling combos are the best you can get for big water salmon and trout. The tekota reels boast ultra smooth and rugged drag systems to help muscle those line screaming Kings and the acrobatic leaps of open water Steelhead. The Talora graphite rods that we use are up for challenge of hoisting monster Lake Trout from the icy cold depths or battling king Salmon from up to 150 yards out on leadcore!
Line — Our downrigger rods and planer board rods all have Trilene Big Game Mono. We use 20lb. Test, because in our world you never know if you’ll hook a 5lb. Coho or a 35lb. Lake Trout, so it’s better to be prepared and ready for battle. We use two different line types for our dipsy divers. First, we have 30lb. Fireline on our high divers. This superline has no stretch and you can feel every head shake during the fight. Next, we use seven strand wire for our low divers. These rods are my favorite and seem to catch the bigger fish. Leadcore line is a cloth sheath that covers a lead line inside. This type of line helps get the bait down to the strike zone, while being very stealthy. The more you put out the deeper it goes.
Lures — All lures and tackle are provided. We use several different types of lures on the “Treble Hook”. Every type of lure has many variations such as size, color, glow, and presentation. Over the years, we have assembled an arsenal of fish catching tackle. We have thousands of spoons in various color combinations and sizes. Every day on the big lake is different, and the fish want different things day by day and hour by hour. We work closely with many tackle suppliers and bait & tackle stores to get the latest and coolest fish catching tackle. Here is a list of the various types of tackle that we use:
· Spoons · Plugs · Dodger and Fly Combos · Rotator and Fly Combos · Stickbaits · Cut-bait (meat) Rigs |

Directions to the Boat I have provided a custom map from Google maps for you. Just click on the picture above and it will redirect you to the map. From there, you can click on any of the blue markers to see more info and directions from that marker. There are three different sets of directions depending on the direction you are coming from. Find the ones that you need and simply print them out. There is also a marker for the Fishin’ Hole, where you can get all your fishing needs. They have tackle, bait, cold pop, ice, and licenses. Once you get to the marina gate, simply call me and I’ll open the gate for you. Parking is in the overflow lot to the right of the fish cleaning station. You can pull up by the boat to drop off your personal items (coolers, clothes, etc). If you have any questions please call any time. (574)876-9171. |
